We have a very unique individual at our Head Office in Wallington, who is aiming to raise ?10,000 in donations by October this year for one of the most poignant reasons possible. Aaron Hearne, who works in our Credit Control department, is the one attempting this amazing feat as a direct result of his 14 year-old brother Liam taking his own life 18 months ago.
The reasons behind Liam's suicide will probably never be known, but Aaron is working tirelessly with the NSPCC to raise awareness of the issues so that no other family has to go through what his just has. He has started a tribute fund for his late brother, organised a charity football match to raise funds locally and will also be taking part in the London Triathlon in late September for which he is raising more and more sponsorship. At Prestige Nursing + Care we are committed to doing everything we can to help Aaron in his fundraising challenge and with this dedicated web page and regular news updates we hope to keep anyone interested in his progress up to date over the coming months.
Although he is far too modest to admit it, I feel that Aaron's efforts are truly inspirational, especially in the context of this very personal tragedy. Needless to say any encouragement and support for Aaron would be very welcome, and he continues to carry himself with great dignity and fortitude despite this horrific incident last year.
